How long should I wait before I turn an account to collections?
We recommend placing an account in collections as soon as you determine it is delinquent based upon your internal financial policies.
If I have a judgment, can I still turn the account to collections?
Yes. Please include a copy of the judgment with the account information.
What information do you require to turn an account to collections?
The minimum necessary information we require is:
- All available guarantor and spouse demographic information
- For medical providers, all available patient demographic information, if applicable
- Balance
- Last date of service
- If you are turning accounts manually, an itemized statement needs to be included
- Copy of judgments, if applicable
- Copy of lien, if applicable
Does Credit Collections, Inc. charge a fee to list an account?
No. Credit Collections, Inc. works on a contingency basis. If we don’t recover on your accounts, we don’t charge a fee.
How much do you charge for collecting my accounts?
Your rate is determined by the volume, average amount, format and average age of your accounts. Please contact us for a detailed rate quote.
What services do you provide?

How long until an account is reported to the credit bureaus?
We list an account with the three national credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, approximately 90 days after it is acknowledged in our system.
What if I receive payment on an account after it is turned to collections?
All payments received on accounts after being turned for collection should be reported to us as soon as possible. We offer several different options for reporting payments. These include client services, electronic, email, fax and telephone.

Once I have turned an account, can I continue to communicate with the account holder?
Once an account has been turned to Credit Collections, Inc., all efforts on your part should cease. In addition, we request that all communications with your account holder be directed to our office at 405.290.2000 or toll free 866.723.2455. Please do not direct them to our client services department. Any correspondence received on an account that has been turned to us should be forwarded to us via facsimile at 405.290.2043.
